One can easily make this statement and it can stand for so many things, with minimalism you allow yourself to be a lot more conscious of your decision making process. In current society norms, the notion that having more is the most ideal. It represents your status, shows others that you have arrived is false and so incorrect. Having clothes to put on
Having food
Having meaningful relationships with people
Having a good fulfilling job/career
Having the time to grow individually

To impress people we don’t like.”
Tim Sutton | 21st century philosopher
Don’t just buy and accrue more things that don’t fit your ideals, be more intentional when you buy and use things in life. You find that when you let go of the complex and give way for simple. You can go further in your objectives, be aligned with your goals and live with less.
BE YOUR TRUE SELF.
