Prohibition on the dissemination of objectionable facts through internet media

Are online media outlets aiding the forces attempting to sabotage India’s unity and integrity? And if that’s not the case, then at the very least, we should make a real effort to follow the national-prohibition-on-dissemination law.

Similar content is now being seen on all our nation’s internet media Jagran. Today, many people go over their bounds by concealing their identities. Their actions are inappropriate, out of control, and intolerable and objectionable facts internet. Additionally, no action can be taken against them in the absence of a thorough inquiry.

The Information Technology (Guidelines for Intermediate Institutions and Digital Media Code of Conduct) Rules, 2021 were announced by the Indian government last year to ensure accountability for these platforms and establish transparency in Internet media Jagran. The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology and the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting held thorough discussions while finalising these regulations to ensure a harmonious relationship between Internet Media Jagran Platform, Digital Media, and OTT, or Over the Top Platform, etc., as well as a supportive monitoring system. Under this, users who choose to have their accounts verified will be given a suitable means for doing so, along with a visible verification mark.

As new systems are being established in India, a developing nation that is advancing toward becoming a developed nation, certain outdated systems strive to distribute false information and rumours by creating phoney accounts also dissemination of objectionable facts. Is this the cause of why none of these factors is putting themselves inside the purview of the new law passed by the Indian government? It can be used as a productive and instructive example for other Internet media platforms in the coming days.
