Guiliani Accuses Mueller of Destroying Evidence Related to the Russia Investigation
While speaking to Hill.TV’s hosts, Buck Sexton and John Solomon, President Donald Trump’s current lawyer, Rudy Giuliani, accused special counsel Robert Mueller of destroying evidence relevant to the ongoing Russian investigation.
“Mueller should be investigated for destruction of evidence for allowing those text messages from Strzok to be erased, messages that would show the state of mind and tactics of his lead anti-Trump FBI agent at the start of his probe,” Giuliani told Sexton and Solomon.
The report claimed a technical glitch was to blame for the missing messages, given Strzok’s and Page’s phones had both been erased by bureau agents for others’ use.
Throughout the interview, Giuliani also expressed he believed the text messages could contain “exculpatory” evidence that would prove President Trump’s innocence. As the interview came to a close, Giuliani said, “Maybe Mueller needs to investigate himself for obstruction on Flynn like he did my client.”
