Homo Sapiens and Homo Neanderthalensis

Most people think that species of Homo just phases of the evolution. And the final of this evolution is Homo Sapiens (it is us).

But the main theory now states that human species existed independent of each other.

To put it another way, comparing Homo Sapiens and Homo Neanderthalensis it is like comparing a lion with a tiger, two independent species of one genus – Panthera.

The exception is Homo Erectus. There is a hypothesis that Erectus might have had any contacts with Sapiens and may be one of the ancestors.
