A while back I bought a robot vacuum cleaner for my wife and lo and behold! Our lives have never been the same again.

In the past, cleaning the house would amount to using the Magic Clean wipes and manually sweeping the dust on the floor. That would be the weekdays and we’d use the traditional vacuum cleaner on weekends. Sounds like a proper plan right? Except, no one adheres to it. It’s tedious, time-consuming and really who needs these tasks after work?

Now, of course all that hard labour has been consigned to history. These days, the house is pretty much cleaned at the touch of our fingertips without all that labour.

Until I see the laundry basket.

We have a pretty big cupboard — without much clothes. They are all in the laundry basket.

Can you imagine the hassle of picking up the laundry and then going through the motion of folding and hanging clothes every three, four days? Hard labour.

How nice it would be if we have a robot that does the laundry. Bring the dirty laundry to the machine to wash and then hang them to dry. Once these are done, fold and hang the clothes automatically so the cupboard fills like a cupboard should (pun intended).

Then, there is also the laborious work of moping the floor.

How nice it would be to have a robot to go hand in hand with the robot vacuum cleaner! You sweep, I mop.

What about washing the dishes? And daily watering of the plants? Wiping dust off the furniture? Cleaning the toilet?

I could go on and on about my robotic needs until something struck me. My sister doesn’t seem to have any concerns over these chores. So, I wondered a while and found the answer.

She has a domestic helper.
