I am now going to turn the spotlight back toward Jan herself.

If you haven’t run across her yet, you’re missing one of Medium’s most reliable cheerleaders.

Jan greets most newbies, and leaves lots of encouraging comments on everyone’s posts.

She’s also a prolific Medium author, and her stories are always a hoot.

Jan is incurably curious, and dives into topics that range from the etymology of “when the shit hit the fan,” to whose bright idea it was for women to wear high heels.

She’s also had a hell of a life and has tales to tell about encounters with international conmen, her time producing a kids’ TV show, appearing in Playboy, and babysitting a massive bag of weed.
