while Big Pharma employs another new poisonous pill for the ravaged.

Racists feed,
on a bigot’s need to believe that “white is right” and brown is “damaged.”

Fear reigns,
in the mountains, the plains, build your shelters, bear arms if you dare.

Politicians don’t,
give a damn about us, as the fabric of this country they rend and tear.

Enemies plan,
in Korea, in Iran, our punishment for the heedless powers that be.

Trump raves,
while Pelosi saves her ace in the hole — too late? Can she see?

Where will we go?
What will we do?
When the reckoning comes to pass?
